NVH Simulation for Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Powertrain

NEW DATE

12 November 2020  |  9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.  |  Virtual Event

OVERVIEW

The increasing powertrain electrification in hybrid and electric vehicles is leading to unique NVH challenges for OEMs and suppliers. The central game changer is the elimination of noise from the internal combustion engine (ICE), which unveils various other noise contributors or make them more audible and prominent. Since NVH characteristics of the vehicle is critical to satisfy customer expectations, NVH refinement is an important aspect of powertrain development and the vehicle integration process. Another important aspect is the influence of the reduced exterior noise levels on pedestrian safety. In order to ensure competitiveness in a dynamic market, automotive OEMs and suppliers need to react fast and develop innovative vehicle models rapidly. Advanced computer simulation will be a key technology to take control of the vehicle NVH performance as quickly as possible and earlier in the development process ever. The simpulseday will highlight industrial challenges and give an overview of latest research approaches and simulation technologies. The expert forum will discuss methodological gaps to be solved for more powerfull simulation tools. Our goal is to accelerate research and simulation method development by networking and pooling synergies, thereby providing our members with better access to R&D activities and latest simulation processes.
