6th Symposium Driving Simulation

5 November 2020 |  Virtual Conference

cooperative event of Automotive Solution Center for Simulation e.V., OWL ViProSim e.V. and VDC Fellbach w.V.

OBJECTIVE

The Symposium Driving Simulation - SDS will be held on 5 November 2020 for the sixth time. The event gathers international specialists from science and industry in the field of driving simulation and autonomous driving. SDS offers an unique forum for professional exchange. The sixth edition will be held virtual after the venues of Stuttgart, Berlin, Braunschweig, Kaiserslautern and Aachen. This years event is focussing on technical challenges, state-of-the-art virtual test drive, driving simulation and virtual reality as well as the latest achievements in science.

Focus:

  • ADAS Sensor Modelling and Sensor Fusion

  • Virtual Validation of Highly Automated Driving Functions

  • Human Factors in Vehicle Driving Simulation

  • Driving Simulator Technologies for ADAS Development

BACKGROUND

Ever stricter global standards together with the rising pressure on costs in the automotive industry have made an increasing shift of versatile test scenarios toward a virtual world necessary. Technology providers need to make the numerous possible solutions offered by driving simulators their own, while OEMs and suppliers have to develop them further for the future. All too often this potential is not fully exploited due to the increasing complexity of these systems and a heterogeneous hardware and software environment. With the 6th Symposium Driving Simulation the organizers want to offer science and industry a better access and possibilities for exchange and future collaborations.
